HUP! Offaly Hall of Fame 2022 - Ellen Comerford Flannagan

Ellen Comerford Flanagan was honored with the HUP! Offaly Hall of Fame Award in 2022 for her outstanding contribution to traditional music in Offaly and beyond. Ellen holds the distinction of being the first female to win the All-Ireland Senior Accordion title. She was also a key member of The Bridge Ceilí Band and the Escir Riada Ceilí Band. Over the years, Ellen dedicated herself to teaching music, passing on her knowledge and passion to hundreds, if not thousands, of young musicians. Her legacy continues to inspire generations, making her a true icon of Irish traditional music.
