HUP! Offaly Hall of Fame 2023 - Frank & Mary Brennan

Mary and Frank Brennan were selected to receive the prestigious Tullamore TradFest Hall of Fame Award in 2023 in recognition of their exceptional contributions to Irish traditional music, song, and dance.

These accomplished musicians became well-known figures for promoting Irish culture, both locally and internationally. The duo performed and toured worldwide with numerous renowned groups, including the Sean Norman Ceili Band. They were regular faces at sessions, ceilithe, concerts, and festivals and served as leaders of Tullamore C.C.E. They were also active members of the Offaly County Board of Comhaltas and the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann Tullamore committee in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

Mary and Frank devoted countless hours to teaching music to children and adults, inspiring people of all ages to learn, play, and appreciate Irish traditional music. Their tireless dedication and love for Irish culture made them truly deserving of this award.

Mary and Frank were honored at the HUP! Offaly concert on Sunday, April 2nd, at 6 p.m. in the Tullamore Court Hotel. Congratulations to Mary and Frank on this well-deserved recognition of their incredible legacy!
